A father's legacy, a son's gift: Investing in future dentists 

Inspired by his father's legacy of compassionate care, 2006 School of Dentistry alumnus Joshua Austin now gives back as a second-generation supporter of the Dr. John A. Austin Memorial Scholarship. His family's commitment continues to open doors for future dentists while honoring a life devoted to making lives better.

Bill and Rebecca Reed Commit $5 Million to Biggs Institute

UT Health San Antonio has announced a $5 million gift from longtime supporters Bill and Rebecca Reed to advance its Glenn Biggs Institute for Alzheimer’s and Neurodegenerative Diseases. This donation will target dementia through advanced research, therapies and care.

The grand piano in Ann Biggs’s living room was the centerpiece of a life built with her husband, Glenn Biggs, a San Antonio banker, civic leader and philanthropist.Today, the Biggs’ piano sits inside the Center for Brain Health, where the Biggs Institute is housed, as a tribute to Glenn and Ann’s journey and a source of music and comfort for patients and families.
