About the Kate Marmion School of Public Health

Working together to combat community health challenges.

The Kate Marmion School of Public Health delivers academic instruction in public health and advances research focused on real-world community health challenges. Through strong partnerships with organizations and stakeholders across the public health landscape, the school works to improve health outcomes locally and beyond.

The school's mission is to develop innovative, evidence-based solutions to pressing health challenges and scale those solutions to benefit communities across the nation and around the world.

Public health addresses the community-wide factors that affect well being, including improving the public administration and city planning economic sectors. Because San Antonio’s population illustrates what our nation will look like by 2050, the Kate Marmion School of Public Health is an ideal setting for educating our future public health workforce.
