San Antonio philanthropist Harvey E. Najim gives $6.5M to build pediatric health workforce in South Texas

San Antonio philanthropist Harvey E. Najim has invested $6.5 million in the future of children's health in South Texas. His gift to UT Health San Antonio will establish the Harvey E. Najim Pediatric Health Scholars Program, supporting advanced training for 92 pediatric health professionals — dental residents, medical subspecialists, and nurse practitioners — deepening the pipeline of expertise in communities that need it most and where critical shortages limit access to care. Najim's generous contribution will ease financial barriers during training, to attract and retain exceptional healthcare talent, expand access to pediatric specialty care and create a lasting impact for our most vulnerable children.
